This reversible baby blanket was inspired by gansey stitch patterns, as well as flying geese quilts, and it reminds me of wings. The triangles also create a unisex design since they sometimes are used as symbols for male (upward pointing) and female (downward pointing).

The patterning is framed by simple seed stitch borders and repeats across 12 stitches and 6 rows, making it easy to memorize as well as to customize the size for a variety of weights of yarn.

The sample was knit in DK weight cotton yarn (15 wpi) and measures approximately 28” x 32” (71 x 81 cm).
