I love sock monkeys; when I was pregnant with my daughter, the first toy I bought for her arrival was a handmade sock monkey. Last year, I decided to create a baby blanket that would replicate the feel of the socks used for sock monkeys.
The blanket can be made in any color, but I stayed with the colors of the socks used to make sock monkeys: brown, pink or blue. You will also need 3 skeins of beige and 1 of red.
I always like to give a sock monkey along with my blankies as part of the baby welcoming!
