Although Spring has arrived here in England, the weather in the North is still far from balmy and I found myself in need of a Spring hat which would keep the sea wind off my ears and stop my hair from becoming tangled. Cue my new hat - I’m really pleased with how it turned out! Worked in just less than one 50gm ball of yarn, this hat is worked in the round to avoid pooling of colours at each end of the row. The result is a pleasingly jolly little number which is warm enough for what I need without being so dense as to make me think that it’s still Winter. It’s a perfect knit for transitional seasons in colder climes and just right for mild winter knitters. I’ll certainly be making another one of these, I know this one will walk as soon as the family see it ;-)
Oh! And it’s available in a plain stocking stitch version too - two hats from one pattern! What on Earth could be more tempting?!
