The book has instructions in French and English.
Basic instructions are provided at the front of each language section, with 2 tables for the various numbers needed for a number of sizes.
Each table covers the number for a different needle size. Gauge is given at the top of each table.

Charts, materials needed, and specific directions are given with a photo of each sock pattern and variation.

Yarn quantity is given in number of balls/half balls, but not yardage.
