Cozy wool socks that protect you not only from the elements, but from unseen forces as well. A protection stave repeat is worked into the sock to help keep you safe. The wool used for these socks is the same as the grey used in the Helm of Awe hat and the marine-blue of the Take Flight sweater; a great way to use up leftover yarn. You can also knit these in any heavy sock-weight wool that you prefer.

YARN: Diamond Luxury Highlander (100% Peruvian Wool, sport weight, 50g/138m per ball); 2 balls in MC Marine Blue (col. 3308) and 1 ball in CC Light Grey (col. 3302).

NEEDLES: 2.75 mm double-pointed needles (or size required to obtain gauge).

GAUGE: 28 sts x 32 rows in 4”.

MEASUREMENTS/SIZING: Adult S/M/L (foot circumference approximately 7-8/8-9/9-10”).

OTHER MATERIALS USED: Sewing needle, optional.

This pattern is also available in the Stave Series collection, which includes the ‘Take Flight’, ‘Helm of Awe’, ‘Felted Slipper Boots’, ‘Cape of Invisibility’, and ‘Prosperity Messenger Bag’.
