This basic sock pattern is for knitting on a knitting board that allows for knitting in the round. One advantage to using a knitting board, besides it’s ease of use, is that you can knit a pair of socks simultaneously. This is great when you want to make sure the pattern matches between the socks. It also prevents the ‘second sock syndrome’ where you don’t feel like making the second sock. And third, If you are using your stash yarn and not sure if you’ll have quite enough, you can shorten the leg portion and make them the same length. Making one at time is fun too!

The socks were knitted in the round using the Noble Knitter 100 knitting board, but other knitting boards that allow knitting in the round, have enough pegs, and give similar gauge can be used.
