The Sofia Hat is a geometrically pleasing pattern with diamonds bordered between rows of purls. Each diamond point flows from the hat band’s strategically placed wide ribbing. This hat is neither a slouch nor a pill box hat. It is an in-between hat that is roomy and comfortable to wear. The eye-catching pattern makes this a great fashion accessory. Sofia can be worn pulled forward or back for different styles.

A headband pattern is included with the hat pattern. It is a bit wider than the hat band making it a wonderful ear warmer on those chilly days.

Stitches used are easy – just knits and purls and an occasional M1L and k2tog. Sofia can be knit in a few hours by the average knitter and requires approximately 150 yards of worsted weight yarn.
