Important Information Regarding the Yarn Used: Suss Snuggle, the yarn used in the book, has been discontinued and is difficult to find online. Suss Snuggle is a Worsted/Aran-weight yarn that is 60% cotton and 40% acrylic. As a substitute, Cousins recommends “any soft cotton or cotton-wool blend of comparable weight.”

From the Pattern Description: I like to design bikinis with adjustable straps for avoiding tan lines. Knitted bikinis without Lycra aren’t really for swimming--they’re for sunbathing… crocheted edges help keep its shape, while the wooden beads add something unusual.

Additional Materials:

  • large tapestry needle,
  • Sewing pins
  • Sewing needle and thread in complementary color
  • 18 wooden beads (size 10 mm)

Finished Measurements:

Bottom: Approximately 12” wide x 20” long.

Top: Approximately 7” wide x 8” long.
