This is a knitting pattern for a super chunky simple knit hat with ear flaps and plaits. Perfect for older baby photography. This design is not sold for general wear due to the long plaits however just the hat or hat with just ear flaps could be for everyday wear.

There are two sizes given - 6-9 months and 9-12 months I find that these hats are quite stretchy so may extend to a bit older too.

I have also written this pattern in both flat knitting and in the round to suit your style.

This pattern requires soft super chunky/super bulky yarn (1 ball of each colour) and 8mm/US11 and 10mm/US 15 straight needles or dpns (sets of 5)
