Outdoors, beneath a solstice sky…..a wee girl feels the whisper of cool breeze.
The solstice signifies a time where seasons start to shift, the perfect time for a cute wee shrug with a witchy hood to keep your little girl’s shoulders and head warm.

This garment was designed exclusively for the Red Riding Hood Yarn Winter 2011 Yarn club. Knit seamlessly starting with the hood, the Solstice Hooded Shrug is a quick yet interesting knit, designed with the intention of getting you away from plain stocking stitch garments.

Solstice Hooded Shrug is written for 8ply yarn, and is sized to fit from 0-3 months(40cm chest) to 6 years (62.5cm chest).
The shrug is fitted, while the hood is an oversized ‘witchy’ hood.
A simple eyelet lace is worked throughout the knit.

The pattern is suited to yarns in solid or semisolid colourways.

The exclusivity period of this club pattern expired in February 2012, allowing it to go up for public release
