Some Time Alone is the same style shawl as With Ease (a sideways asymmetrical triangle), but instead this one has some lovely geometric, arch-style lace. As for the name, sometimes you just need some time alone. And while you’re alone you can recuperate from your day, or you can dream up new projects or ideas. It’s okay to take some time alone!

Yarn:

3 skeins of Hinterland Range in colourway “Smoke” or 594 yards (543 metres) of worsted weight yarn.

Needles:

5.5mm (US 9) circular needles in at least a 24” (60cm) cord. Or whatever size needles it takes you to get gauge.

Whichever tools you prefer to weave in ends, and whichever tools you prefer to block your shawls.

Gauge:

12 stitches and 24 rows = 4” (10cm)
square knit flat in lace pattern and
blocked.

Size:

74” (188cm) measured along the wingspan. 32” (81cm) measured down the deepest part of the triangle.
