Something in The Rain is an asymmetric triangle shaping on a bias, thus creating a long crescent shaped shawl. The shawl generous length is perfect for many styling options. This shawl is designed to be knit in fingering or heavy fingering yarns in 2 colors adorned with plenty of beads (if beads are not for you, then you can omit them all together). Pattern includes charts and written directions.

Suggested yarn: Fingering or Heavy fingering

Yardage needed for sizes 1 (2, 3):
Yarn A: 330 (380, 440) yards / 300 (350, 400) m.
Yarn B: 275 (340, 410) yards / 250 (310, 375) m.

Beads (6/0 seed beads) - Optional: 748 (852, 956) pcs.

Finished Sizes (Relaxed):
Wingspan: 81 (90, 98)” / 205 (230, 250) cm.
Depth: 21 (23, 25)” / 54 (59, 65) cm.

Needle:
Size 5 US / 3.75 mm circular needle, at least 24” / 60 cm long.
Size 7 US / 4.50 mm circular needle, at least 24” / 60 cm long.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.

Notions: Tapestry needle, blocking pins, size 14 US / 0.75 mm steel crochet hook for beads (optional), stitch markers.

  • Two (2) skein(s) of Rendezvous Silky (50% Merino / 50% Silk) - 383 yards/350 meter/100 gram/skein enough to make size 2 (choose the color combination from the drop down arrow).
  • Size 6 Toho/Miyuki seed beads enough to complete the project.
  • Pattern is NOT INCLUDED in this kit. You need to buy separately in Ravelry or my blog.
