This listing is for the PDF chart and written pattern instructions for Somewhere over the Rainbow Blanket.

I designed this C2C chart having fallen head over heels for rainbows recently. This together with a sudden appearance of so many rainbows in the skies around us - how could I not want to design a rainbow themed baby blanket. I love C2C blankets, they give such a wonderful opportunity to paint a picture using yarn.

This pattern includes the chart and written pattern instructions for the blanket should you prefer written colour instructions rather than following a chart. I work from bottom right corner to top left corner.

The pattern is 50 C2C blocks wide and 65 C2C blocks in length. Which stitch you prefer to work your C2C blankets in will, of course, vary the final size of your blanket. I prefer to work my C2C in a treble crochet in UK terms or DC for US terms.

PLEASE NOTE: this pattern does not include a tutorial on how to work C2C crochet blankets and you will therefore require some prior knowledge on how to work a C2C blanket.

I do not specify a particular border for this blanket within the pattern but I do recommend a simple rainbow border for a wonderful finishing touch.
