This pattern is a triangular shawl based on a modified trinity stitch. After the main body is knitted, a wide border is added to two of the sides and a narrow border is knitted along the hypotenuse. The wide border curves gracefully along the bottom point of the triangle creating a soft semi-circular appearance to the shawl’s lower edge.

The wide border has lace knitting on both sides but the stitch pattern is easy to read once the pattern is set up.
