Baby busy playing her favorite game? She drops her soother on the floor, you pick it up. Make the game more fun for you: attach a leash to her soother or toys! You don’t need to get up to find her stuff, it can’t fall on a dirty floor, and you can end soothers falling and then rolling away under furniture…

I love knitting these out of random half-balls of my favorite yarns - they come together quickly and are easy mindless knitting.

You will need either double pointed needles or a long circular, whatever you prefer when knitting a small circumference tube. The strap is a tube of stockinette - it looks beautifully finished no matter how it is sitting. There are pictures showing how to get the tube started on your soother clip.

You will need to find a clip for the end of this to attach the strap to your baby’s clothes. Mine are “KAM plastic clips”, which can be found on Etsy in a huge variety of colors. Just get clips that have a bar about 1 inch wide.
