Pattern Description from Interweave Online Store: “Play up the sophisticated and you can wear this jacket to parties or the office. Play up the rustic and you can wear it on a hike. It is made in garter stitch in a thick-thin wool and linen yarn, and features feminine shaping, subtle ruffles and contrasting buttons.”

Finished Size: 37 (40, 43, 46)” (94 (101.5, 109, 117) cm) bust/chest circumference. Sweater shown measures 43” (109 cm).

Yarn:

  • Classic Elite Zelda (70% wool, 30% linen; 93 yd (85 m)/50 g): #3645 zinc (MC), 11 (12, 13, 14) skeins; #3616 ivory (CC), 1 skein.
  • Classic Elite Provence (100% cotton; 256 yd (233 m)/125 g) #2623 Bideford shrimp, 1 skein.

Yarn weight: #4 - Medium

Gauge: 15 sts and 30 rows = 4” (10 cm) in garter stitch.

Needles: Size 9 (5.5 mm). One 16” (40-cm) circular (cir) needle in any size smaller than size 9. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

Notions: Markers (m); stitch holders; tapestry needle; size F/5 (3.75-mm) crochet hook; three 1 1/8” (3-cm) plastic rings for buttons.
