This is my take on the knitted fox scarf/faux taxidermy stole. You will need a boucle, mohair style, or otherwise fuzzy textured yarn for the face and ears. The body is knit with a matching eyelash /faux fur yarn.

Some of the yarns used in the photo have been discontinued so subs will be needed.

Except for the ears, which are added later, the scarf is knit in one piece. It starts with the head, knit-in-the-round, then is knit flat for the body, and knit-in-the-round again for the tail.

In addition to needles, yarn, and notions, you will also need safety eyes and some stuffing for the head. I recommend using a safety nose, though this can be embroidered, and a snap or hook closure so the ends can be joined.
