This is a simple crescent shawl pattern with a variety of lace patterns for interest, It is knit using 100g of sock yarn and is a great pattern to showcase the different shades in variegated yarns - or as a change from sock knitting!
Soulac is named after one of my favourite French beaches - the lacy lower edging is knit lengthwise first and then stitches are picked up to knit the remainder of the shawl from the bottom up.
Skill level - Intermediate (although achievable by an adventurous beginner)
Size - When blocked the length of the shawl is approx 126cm and the depth at centre back is 36cm.
If you are looking for a relaxing lacy shawl knit or are looking for a straightforward first shawl pattern, why not give Soulac a go.
