This advanced-beginner level pattern comes with instructions for the Spacebot toy, a rocket-pack for the robot, and a kitty-bot companion. All the pieces are knit flat, then seamed. The intarsia sections are relatively simple, and a good way to learn this technique. A plastic toy joint is used to allow the robot’s head to turn, and the pattern includes detailed instructions and photos for inserting the joint. The finished toy is fun to embellish with extra buttons, felt, or embroidery.
