Sparkle! Dress
This project was shown as the 7th of 10 “covers” to the Special Collector’s 25th Anniversary Issue of Vogue Knitting, Fall 2007. The pattern itself is not available in the magazine, however. It can only be downloaded from the Vogue Knitting website.
Summary: Shift dress knit in metallic yarn with silver-on-black pattern.
Gauge Details: (all worked in chart pattern)
- 41 sts = 7” and 28 rows = 4-5/8” using US 8 / 5.0 mm needles
- 41 sts = 6-3/4” and 28 rows = 4-1/4” using US 7 / 4.5 mm needles
- 41 sts = 6-1/4” and 28 rows = 4” using US 6 / 4.0 mm needles
- 41 sts = 5-7/8” and 28 rows = 4” using US 5 / 3.75 mm needles
Needle Details:
- one pair + one extra US 5 / 3.75 mm straight needle
- one pair US 6 / 4.0 mm needles
- one pair US 7 / 4.5 mm needles
- one pair US 7 / 4.5 mm circular needles, 32” (82cm) long
- one pair US 8 / 5.0 mm needles
Additional Materials:
- size D/3 (3.25 mm) crochet hook
- stitch holders
- eight 1” (25mm) buttons
- cotton waste yarn
