The Spectrum Blanket is built from alternating blocks of mitered garter stitch and cell stitch lace. An attached i-cord edge finishes things off beautifully. With plenty of yarn you can easily upsize this by continuing with the pattern as established.

Pattern includes a detailed chart of the entire blanket to follow. Each block segment is actually quite easy and you are sure to memorize the stitch patterns quickly enough to allow this to be almost mindless knitting.
