Inspired by an old lace pattern, this hat is a surprisingly quick knit and incredibly easy, but the results are amazingly intricate.

The Spider Web Hat maintains a nice balance between warm ribbing and breathable lace, and it can be made and worn slouchy or not. Once the construction is understood, this hat just flies off the needles!

Use just about any worsted weight yarn you’d like. Solid colors and marled or blended colors look best.

The pattern includes extensive notes on all unusual stitches, so if you’ve been afraid to tackle complicated lace patterns, this might just be the pattern you’ve been waiting for. Treat yourself to something special, something different, something beautiful.
