When you finish this crochet project, Spike and Swirly the monkeys (inspired by the TV show “64 Zoo Lane”) will be 9” x 3” (with a tail that is 4.5” long).

Required Skills:

• Create a magic circle (or magic ring)

• Crocheting in a round

• Crocheting in front loops and back loops

• Decrease stitches (invisible decreasing is used for this project)

• Embroidering

• Increase stitches

• Sewing pieces together to form the doll

Materials Needed for this Project:

• Size G/7 or 4.25mm Crochet Hook

• Size E/5 or 3.50mm Crochet Hook (for the ears and eyes)
• Yarn Needle

• Stitch Marker

• Scissors

• Polyester Fiberfill

• Very Fine Black Yarn for eyes, nose, and mouth

• Worsted Weight Yarn (I used Red Heart Super Saver Solids—1 skein for each color)
o Coffee for back of head, body, arms, legs, hair, and tail
o Minty for head and ears
o White for eyes
