This shawl can be knitted in any yarn: the yardage and final size will differ.

Directions to knit the shawl in a chunky yarn are also given, specifying 105 yds and 9mm needles, for a tension of 8 sts and 12 rows.

The shawl is worked from the centre out, either to and fro or in the round.
