The Spock socks are named after my favorite Star Trek character. Spock hails from the planet Vulcan where the standard greeting is to make a V with one’s fingers and to say “Live long and prosper.” While knitting the Spock socks, you’ll see that the pattern makes this same type of V. I also think of socks are being fairly logical, but your mileage may vary on that front!

With reverse stockinette background and traveling twisted ribs, the pattern on the Spock Socks is very angular and striking, just like Spock’s eyebrows and haircut.

This pattern includes both charts and written directions.
