This scarf is designed with the Two Black Sheep Ombre Fingering in mind. Any fingering weight yarn with a minimum of 480 yards would work.

On top of being a scarf that can be wrapped around several times for warmth, the construction allows you to lay it on top of your shoulders to be used as a shawl.

As far as the name, on the same day that I came up with the construction I found three spoons in my purse.
