These would give useful warm wear for girls in the country during the cold weather. The knickers illustrated were made of navy 4-ply double knitting wool, and we would particularly recommend the use of this quality if a really durable garment for heavy sports wear is required.

Materials: 1lb. 10oz. of the wool selected, a pair each of No. 11 and No. 12 bone knitting needles, three-quarters of a yard of binding, half a yard of sateen (or shaped band made ready for use), five buttons.
