Sporty Scarf is just that, the scarf to wear with those winter outfits that inevitably involve some sort of puffy vest or coat. If you are going to look like the Michelin Man, the least you can do is have a sporty little scarf to show you really do have style. This scarf is easier than it looks, because it uses the slipped stitch method of color knitting. Colors change only at the ends of rows and the yearn is carried up the sides for neat edges - no fancy Fair Isle skills required. The skills you do need for Sporty Scarf are the basic knit and purl stitches, make 1 and ssk. You will use about 90 yards of each color worsted weight yarn, making this an excellent stash-buster.
