This generous half-Pi, crescent shaped shawl is worked in a series of concentric increases. |It’s name and concept is inspired by the generosity, warmth and humour that I have found in our close-knit, online woolly ‘tribe’. Folks bound together by a share love of knitting, fun and woolly goodness.

Wide bands of stocking stitch combine with a fun, star-shaped stitch pattern that is delightfully simple and easy to memorise.

Texture and additional interest are added in the form of a striped garter stitch border and an optional picot bind off.

This shawl uses 2 contrasting skeins of the beautiful Knitting Goddess Wensleydale & Shetland 4ply yarn. The sample as shown was knit using the Silver (MC) and Lime (CC) colourways.

For those who share my slightly juvenile sense of humour you might like to know that this shawl features the uncommonly used ‘pyoo’ abbreviation.

I won’t tell you what it reminds me of - you can probably guess - but it does lend the question “Can you ‘pyoo’ “ a certain snigger factor. Or maybe it’s just me….
