The Sprig Scarf and Mittens are cozy, quick, and fun to knit accessories that are designed to work together with the Wreathe Pullover out of Valley Yarns Berkshire Bulky or separately. The sunny, self-fringing scarf is knit lengthwise in a carefree knit and purl stitch pattern. The mittens are simple and warm and provide a perfect canvas for some creative surface crochet.

Finished Size:
Scarf: 8” x 56” plus fringe
Mitten: 7.5 (8.25, 9)” around to fit women’s small (medium, large)

Yarn:
Scarf: 4 sks Valley Yarns Berkshire Bulky (85% wool/15% alpaca, 100g/108yd) color Gold
Mittens: 2 sks Valley Yarns Berkshire Bulky (85% wool/15% alpaca, 100g/108yd) color Dark Grey Heather, scraps of Lime Green and Gold for surface crochet design (optional)

Needles:
Scarf: US size 11 (8.00mm) 40” circular needles or size needed to get gauge
Mittens: set of 4 US size 8 (5.00mm) double pointed needles or size needed to get gauge

Other materials:
4.50mm crochet hook for optional mitten surface crochet
scrap yarn to use as stitch holder

Gauge:
Scarf: about 10 sts = 4” in garter stitch (exact gauge not important)
Mittens: 4 sts and 6 rows 1 = 1” in St st worked in the round
