The inspiration was a children’s show years ago. I am not sure if this program still airs anymore (the character was called Foofa). The beanie is easily knit in one day. It is knit in-the-round from the bottom up using mainly a stockinette stitch. It is totally seamless, so there are no seams to sew or irritate your little one’s head. Hobby Lobby’s “I Love This Yarn” 100% acrylic worsted yarn was used for this project. Instructions are also given for knitting the flower. When knitting the petals, the cast on yarn can be left tucked inside each petal as you knit, so don’t worry if you forget to weave in that end. Directions are given for a Turkish Cast-On (used for the flower). Instructions are given for the preemie size with the other sizes in parentheses ().
