Spring in the Woods – a new lace shawl by Lotte

March 2008
New Zealand Lambswool
22 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches
US 3 - 3.25 mm
186 yards (170 m)

Forår i skoven.

Lotte Wackerhagen has created a beautiful shawl that is reminiscient of the well-known Shetland Shawls. She designed and knitted her version in a square format.
The center of the pattern symbolizes the forest floor in spring. It depicts European Thumbleweed (anemone nemorosa), framed by stylized leaves and stems. Beech leaves form the outside border of the shawl.
