Along with sunshine and flowers, celebrate the change in season with a change in wardrobe. Inspired by the new growth of Spring, lacy leaves cascade down the back of this cardigan, growing and wrapping around to the front, like budding leaves exploding with the season.

The Spring Thaw Cardigan is worked flat from the top down. The back is first worked top down to the underarms, then stitches are picked up along the cast on edge for each front. Fronts and back are joined at the underarms and worked in one piece to the garter stitch hem. Sleeve stitches are picked around the armhole and shaped with short rows. Stitches are then picked up along each front for button bands, and around the neck edge.
