Spring water is an open front cardigan worked top down with drop shoulders and inset pockets. It uses four simple stitch patterns arranged in bold striped sections on the body and three on the sleeves to match with the body. The folded hem and the neat edging around the neck line, down the fronts and the sleeves complete the clean look of the cardigan.

This cardigan accompanies you through spring, colder summer evenings to early fall.

SIZES
XS (S, M, L, XL, XXL) with finished bust 90 (100, 110, 120, 130, 140) cm/ 35½“ (39¼”, 43¼“, 47¼”, 51¼“, 55”).

Recommended ease: 8–13 cm/3¼“–7¼” positive ease
Sample is shown in size M on a 102 cm/40” bust with 8 cm/3¼“ positive ease
Fronts overlap each other by 13 (14, 15, 16, 18, 20) cm/ 5” (5½”, 6”, 6¼“, 7”, 7¾”) when closed with a removable pin.

YARN
3 (4, 4, 4, 4, 5) skeins Yoth Yarns, 100% Rambouillet Wool, 500 meters/550 yards per 100 gram skein, or approx. 1500 (1600, 1700, 1850, 2000, 2150) meters/1640 (1750, 1860, 2020, 2190, 2350) yards heavy lace weight yarn or yarn that gives you gauge.

Sample knit in colorway Spring Water.

I recommend using a light weight yarn as a heavier result in growing in length due the weight of the open fronts.

Everybody knits differently, therefore yardage is an estimate.

GAUGE
24 sts x 34 rows = 10 cm/4”, in pattern A and D with needle 3.50 mm/US 4 after washing and blocking
24 sts x 40 rows = 10 cm/4”, in pattern B with needle 3.50 mm/US 4 after washing and blocking
24 sts x 44 rows = 10 cm/4”, in pattern C with needle 3.25 mm/US 3 after washing and blocking

Take time to check gauge and adjust needle size if necessary to get gauge.
