Materials
Yarn: Manos del Uruguay Alegria sock yarn, 75% Superwash Merino, 25% Polyamide; 445 yards/100g: Periquito, 1 (1) skein.
Yarn: Knit Picks Stroll Fingering, 75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon; 462 yards/100 g: Poppy Field Tonal, 1 (1) skein.

Needles: US #1.5/2.5mm DPNs; adjust size to get the correct gauge.

Notions: Cable Needle (CN), Stitch Markers (SM), preferably in various colors.Gauge 30 sts and 31 rows = 4” in stockinette stitch.

Notes
The nice thing about socks is that you can try them on as you knit them and make any modifications needed – for example, you can do fewer gusset decreases to account for a larger foot vs. ankle circumference. Having the pattern on top of the foot (the instep) and stockinette stitch on the bottom also helps provide more ease, and this sock can also be modified quite easily in terms of foot length. If you are new to sock knitting, I recommend pay more attention to your ankle circumference when deciding which size to make. You will want to err on the side of choosing the smaller size option so that the cuff hugs your ankle. Be sure to also use a stretchy cast-on to start things off – I recommend the Long-Tail (Slingshot) cast-on method which produces a very nice-looking elastic edge!
