It is not advisable to abandon woollens and put children right into summer cottons at the first hint of the approach of warm weather. Spring days are usually capricious, and in-between clothes are safer wear for little people. This 2-ply woollen frock can be quickly made by mother, and is ideal for this time of the year. The short sleeves suggest coolness, but warmth is still given where it is required.

MATERIALS: 3oz of 2-ply wool; No. 9 needles; 3 small buttons; a crochet-hook.

MEASUREMENTS: 19 inches from shoulder to lower edge of skirt; all round chest, 24 inches; to fit a child of 2½ to 3 years.
