Springtime in Paris
I’m a serious hat wearer and spring doesn’t slow me down. Spring hats are lighter; prettier. And where I live, in Paris, Ontario, springtime is exceptional.
This design calls for a DK or sport weight yarn and suits a semisolid or tonal yarn like SweetGeorgia Yarns Superwash DK. The lacy swirl of the stitch pattern is easily memorized and requires just a few stitches: if you can knit, purl, k2tog, p2tog and k3tog you can swirl one up for yourself. The ribbed brim is knit using a twisted stitch, i.e. by knitting through the back of the loop. YouTube is helpful, if needed. Wishing you spring joys.
