“Sprout” is a baby blanket with an embossed leaf motif, knit in a soft, machine-washable blend of organic cotton and superwash wool.

It’s a sweet, soft, and nurturing blanket, in the perfect small size to tuck into strollers or car seats.

The pattern has a three-dimensional texture that looks equally stunning on the front and back. Although it’s a challenging pattern, it’s clearly laid out with both charts and written line-by-line instructions.

Errata in earlier versions: Version 1, 2009: the left-most cell of Row 18 in “leaf repeats” should be gray instead of blue. Version 2, 2010: the top border should indicate 14 rows of garter stitch, and the “top of the sprouts” charts should show read “p13, dbl-dec, p13” for Row 31 of outer sprouts and Row 41 of center sprout. Also, this means that the top of the sprouts have 27 stitches instead of 29 stitches. These are all fixed in the 2014 update now posted to Ravelry.
