I love striped socks, but I always feel limited to just a plain vanilla pattern to show off the stripes. However, I am not really a vanilla girl, so these socks are part of a collection of patterns I am putting together to highlight the beautiful striped yarn out there. Of course, they can always be knit in whatever yarn you desire. These socks are knit from the toe up using a Turkish cast on and featuring a Fleegle heel.

Yarn: 1 (100gm) skein fingering weight yarn, plus 20 gm of a contrasting color. Sample shown in Freckled whimsy colorway Yesteryear.

Needles: US 1.5 (2.5mm), 32inch needle for magic loop. Or size needed to obtain gauge.

Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers, crochet hook (optional).

Gauge: 8.5 sts and 12 rows per inch.

Sizes: S (L)

Measurements: 7.5 (8.5) inches 19 (21.5) cm around unstretched.
