Take advantage of the trendy diagonal look but use fantastic join-as-you-go squares instead of the typical look. Using this self-striping yarn gave this blanket a wonderfully flowing, modern project for baby.

I fell in love with this awesome colorway of Premier Yarns Angel yarn. It shades so beautifully from hot pink to blue to purple and back. Just gorgeous! This project is made in the join as you go technique. Due to the tremendous popularity of diagonal projects, I joined the squares from corner to corner instead of strips by row. I’m so pleased with the result. It’s extraordinary. If you prefer more vibrant colorways, try this pattern with Lion Brand Yarns Shawl in a Ball or Shawl in a Cake yarns instead.
