I have a big head and a lot of hair. This hat came about by needing a hat that actually covered my head as opposed to sit on top of it. I also knit this with fingering weight yarn held double. I especially like the color play possible when using two different colors of yarn. However worsted weight yarn would work just as well.

Please note: this pattern calls for fingering weight yarn held double but worsted weight will also work.
