This shawlette was designed to celebrate the third anniversary of the Tinsmith’s Wife Yarn Shop in Comfort, Texas.

With its turquoise colour and delicate lace patterning, this piece is reminiscent of the elaborate necklaces typical of Native American jewellery. Just like its source of inspiration, it uses an image commonly found in Native American jewellery, the squash blossom.

It is a half-rectangle with a circular neckline, so it works both as a capelet or a small shawl/scarf. Pin it closed or throw it over one shoulder. You can even tie it in front for yet another look.

And best of all, it uses only one skein of a luxury yarn.
