Stacked Rib Cardigan
This stacked rib pattern creates a checkerboard effect by moving the rib over two stitches every few rows - an easy pattern shown off by a bulky alpaca/wool yarn. Regular 2x2 rib creates natural waist definition.
Cardigan is worked in one piece to the armholes, the the body is divided for fronts and back.
The first stitch of each row is knitted to form a selvedge edge for picking up stitches for the front bands.
