This hat is an addition to my “Stadtschal” pattern and uses the scraps of Ito Sensai.
In order to get a warm beanie, I added Lamana Bergamo in white as a basic yarn to provide the “body”, and Sensai will run along to provide the colourwork.
You will need 1.5 balls of Bergamo for the beanie’s original size, and scraps of Sensai (or any other kidsilk yarn) in four colours.
The pattern provides instructions for 50 cm head circumference. If you need a bigger size, you can adjust the dimensions by simply casting on more stitches (no. of sts to be a multiple of 8, though). You can also increase the beanie length by adding rows per colour.

There is also a free pattern for matching mitts (“Stadtstulpen”), if you want to have both the beanie and the mitts, you will require 3 balls of Bergamo.

Enjoy!
