The pattern used in this blanket has always reminded me of stained glass windows. Select any main color and use up bits of leftover yarn to make it really interesting to work up. The shell edging could alternatively be worked using some of the colors used in the center panel.

Contrast colors (B): 675yds (615m) total worsted weight yarn

In double crochet (dc), 16 dc = 4 inches
In single crochet, 16 sc rows = 4 inches
