This is a simple beautiful shawl that is lightweight yet cozy and warm. The pattern is very subtle but stunning. It’s easy and knits up quickly on larger needles. The stitch pattern is used with a calming blue yarn inspired by the sky, sea and standing at the shore watching the gentle waves roll in.

The perfect addition to your handmade wardrobe! You can put your own stamp on this beauty by adjusting the size either through the number of rows or through shaping when blocking.

This is a great knit for a beginner and a fun quick knit for a more advanced knitter.

This shawl is worked back and forth in rows on straight or circular needles (to accommodate the number of stitches) from the bottom up (point up) with increases every other row. The stitch pattern is worked across in an odd number of stitches and in between a garter stitch border on both sides and at the bottom (point of triangle) and top (long edge of triangle). The stitch pattern is subtle but gives a little added texture.
