Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Fall 2006: “I have lots of knitting bags, but never enough. This starlike bag is ideal for smallish projects such as baby sweaters, socks, or scarves. The gusset that runs around the sides and bottom is worked first, then stitches are picked up along the edges. The front and back are worked in toward the center, shaped with decreases, and finished with a three-needle bind-off. I added a bamboo purse handle, but the bag would work just as well with an I-cord handle. To firm up with bag, I handwashed it vigorously in hot soapy water.”

Yarn: Mountain Colors Moguls (96% wool, 4% nylon; 65 yd 59 m/100 g): Indian corn (red multi), wilderness (green multi), and elderberry (purple multi), 1 skein each.
