I created this pattern to decorate a beach bag, but it makes a lovely stand alone decorative doily or mat too.

The pattern is written in UK crochet terms.

The Starfish is made in the round and consists of a variety of interesting stitches, including clusters and puff stitches.

I used DROPS Paris cotton to make my Starfish in the following shades:

35 vanilla
14 strong yellow
13 orange
12 red

However any combination of colours will do!

The final Starfish measures 260 mm in diameter.
