These Starry Night Gloves use iridescent beads to depict the stars in a dark night sky. The two gloves are very different, with on depicting the Summer Sky and the other the Winter Sky (as seen in the Northern Hemisphere). Each glove displays a number of recognizable constellations, outlined in backstitch, and several well-known stars.

At the base of each cuff, Bavarian cabling is used to complete the seasonal scene; the Summer glove shows a pine tree, a tent, and a campfire, while the Winter glove has a house with lighted windows, a smoking chimney, and a bare tree.

As the designer is both a knitter and an astronomer, the night sky is represented both artistically and accurately, with different-colored beads used to depict different-colored stars. In addition, the Milky Way is included in the Winter Glove scene.
