The Stash Couture Tweed Stitch Scarf is a simple knit that highlights those beautiful hand painted yarns.

The Tweed Stitch, looks so extravagant, but is basically stockinette stitch with a “slipped and half-wrapped” stitch every other stitch on the knit rows.

This pattern will work for any 400- 600 yards of any weight yarn - just increase needle size 2 sizes larger than recommended needles.

The pattern is 60 stitches of Tweed Stitch (also called Half-Linen Stitch) between 3 edge stitches of seed stitch.

As individual skeins/hanks of hand dyed/painted yarn will vary - even when from the same dye lot, alternating skeins every two rows is recommended.

The change from Tweed Stitch to Seed Stitch edging creates a perfect “hide” for the carry yarn.
